What we collect

When you create a MockCamp account, we collect:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and date of birth.
  • Test data — your answers, scores, and timing data from practice tests.
  • Payment information — processed and stored by Paddle, our merchant of record. We do not store your credit card number, CVV, or full card details on our servers.

If you sign up as a minor (ages 13–17), we collect a parent or guardian’s email address as required for registration.

How we use your data

  • Deliver and score your practice tests.
  • Show your score history and analytics on your dashboard.
  • Process purchases and grant test credits to your account.
  • Send transactional emails (verification, password reset).
  • Improve the Service (aggregated, de-identified usage patterns).

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.
  • We do not use behavioral advertising or ad trackers.
  • We do not use analytics that fingerprint minors.
  • We do not share your individual test scores with anyone unless you choose to.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Paddle — payment processing. Paddle acts as our merchant of record and has its own privacy policy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery (verification and password reset emails).
  • Google OAuth — optional sign-in. If you choose “Sign in with Google,” we receive your name and email from Google. We do not access your Google contacts, calendar, or other data.

Cookies

MockCamp uses a single session cookie (mc_session) to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party cookie-based analytics.

Data retention

Your account data (profile, test history, scores) is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is removed. Aggregated, de-identified data (e.g., average scores across all users) may be retained indefinitely.

Data export and deletion

You can export your data or delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Children’s privacy

MockCamp does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Users aged 13–17 must provide a parent or guardian’s email address during registration. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
